- Sing "My Poor Hand is Shaking" - keeping a steady beat with different parts of our body
- Sing "Goin' to the Farm" learned last week and discover a new animal on the farm - Hens
- Sing "Listen to the Hens" and clap on the Cluck Cluck Cluck
- Learn about Tambourines and play tambourines to "Listen to the Hens" on the Cluck Cluck Cluck
- Practice using our different voice sby echoing the speech poem "This is my Speaking Voice"
- Different voices are speaking, whisper, calling, and singing
- Sing and participate in the story Pete the Cat: Rocking in my School Shoes

- Echo a slide whistle using high and low sounds - voice warm-up
- Learn So-Mi Solfege hand signs
- Sing "Down by the Bay" - students have the opportunity to make up rhymes for the song
- Learn or Review the poem "Hickory Dickory Dock" with body movement.
- Each students will play the steady beat on the tic-toc woodblocks while the class says the poem "Hickory Dickory Dock"
- Instrument Clue - Students will identify instruments only by sound using symbol representations of the instruments.
- Listening Activity - as we enter students will listen to "Moonlight Sonata" by Beethoven and record how the feeling of the song on their response sheets. Afterwards we will discuss the music and Beethoven the composer.
- Echo a slide whistle using high and low sounds - voice warm-up
- Review So-Mi Solfege hand signs learned in 1st Grade
- Echo sing Kye Kye Kule song from Africa
- Echo rhythms using body percussion - snaps, claps, pats, and stomps
- Review Go Go Go from last week and practice on drums
- Play Go Go Go on drums while teacher plays a different rhythm on another drum and play drum passing game
- When comfortable saying and playing - students will play the drum part without saying the poem out loud - continue drum passing game
- Introduce song "Charlie Over the Ocean" that will be used in the next lesson
